Polyphonie der Donau – Austria 

One river, many voices – One river, many voices. The Danube connects countries, cultures, and musical traditions. With the concert series "Polyphony of the Danube", the Ukrainian Institute, together with Klangraum Graz, invites you on a musical journey along the river – in search of the diverse voices of Europe.

The first stop on this journey is Austria, a country that has significantly shaped European music history. In the concert, works by Franz Schubert, Viktor Kosenko, and Borys Lyatoshynskyi come together. Their music opens a dialogue between Austrian and Ukrainian culture, between Romanticism and Modernity, between Tradition and the Present.

The Ukrainian pianist Olena Miso and the German cellist Johannes Krebs perform, both of whom are active at the University of Arts Graz and concert on international stages. Look forward to an evening full of musical encounters that shows how different voices become a shared European soundscape.
